About HordeLedger

HordeLedger tracks the WoW Forever Horde auction house so you can see what things are worth, how fast they sell and when to post.

Where the data comes from

Blizzard's Game Data API. Every hour we take a snapshot of every auction on the auction house: item, quantity, buyout and time left. These WoW Forever endpoints are documented by the community and not yet official, so details may change.

In-game scans. Full auction house scans from launch night (first scan 2026-11-04 22:39) fill in the history before the API snapshots began.

Scope: WoW Forever · US PvP · Horde. Other realms and the Alliance auction house will have different prices.

How the numbers work

Market price is the average unit price of the cheapest 25% of units listed. It ignores one-off cheap listings and silly high ones, so it's closer to what you'd actually pay for a normal amount.

Cheapest listing is the lowest single buyout price per unit.

Sells per day is an estimate. Between two scans, units that disappear from the cheap end of the market and weren't re-listed are counted as sold. Listings can also be cancelled, so treat it as a guide to how fast something moves, not an exact count. Items with too little history don't get an estimate.

Best time to sell comes from which hours of the day auctions disappear early (bought) most, in US Central time. When an item has too few sales of its own, we use its whole category.

Posting tips look at the price ladder: if a few cheap listings sit in front of a wall of normal-priced ones, it's usually better to post just under the wall than to chase the cheap ones down. If the cheapest listing is under the vendor price, sell to a vendor.

Privacy

This site only uses market data: items, prices and quantities. It contains no player names, character or account information, and auction house data doesn't say who posted what.
